with Mie Neko
A predicament in Shibari describes a situation in which the tied person can choose between several body positions, each of which brings its own challenges or forms of strain. The goal is not necessarily pain, but rather to create a playful balance between different options and their consequences. To maintain this balance, we need to develop a strong sense for the situation and for our model, make regular adjustments, and continuously ensure the model’s safety. In this style of tying, model and rigger work more against each other than with each other.
This workshop is intended for people who already have experience with partial suspension.
