The Art of Seduction in Ropes: Aibunawa Fundamentals

  • Daruma Neukölln, Berlin (map)

with Stuart & Ena | This workshop will be taught in English

Aibunawa, the “caressing rope” of Yukimura Haruki, is a floor-based Shibari practice that allows for the exploration of sensuality and eroticism.

The class will explore how to move your partner—both physically and emotionally— using rope, fundamental Aibunawa techniques, and classic patterns.

Day one: Getting to Know You

Aisatsunawa; greeting rope—& Ipponnawa; one rope play.

On the first day, you will learn fundamental movements and body handling techniques while focusing on these floor-based practices using only one rope, with the intention of exploring how each partner in a tying pair is feeling, both physically and energetically.

When first sharing ropes with someone, these techniques aid in the discovery of likes and limitations while exploring closeness and intimacy. They also benefit established tying pairs, as a way of warming up at the start of a session, meeting each other energetically, and discovering where the session might lead next.

Day two: Going Deeper

On day two we will go deeper into play with pleasure, shame, and exposure together while practicing a few simple techniques and patterns for floor work and semi-suspension.
