A six-week course in the building blocks of rope. No experience, no partner and no rope of your own needed.

Our Step 1, 2 and 3 courses form a pathway from the very beginning of your shibari practice through to the basics of suspension. Each runs over six weeks with the same group throughout - regular, structured practice that goes deep rather than broad, giving you a firm grasp of the rope bondage basics, time to build muscle memory, and a group of people you get to know well enough to keep practising with.

Shibari for Beginners: Elements (Step 1)

Step 1 is for those who are either completely new to shibari, or have a little prior experience but are looking for a more solid foundation. The course covers simple knots, frictions, patterns, harnesses, and introduces participants to important skills such as rope handling and tensioning. By the end of the course, you should understand how to construct a short rope scene that brings together technical and playful elements.

Important: Tickets are per PERSON (not per couple).
